Welcome to the Sidney Classical Orchestra! Ralph Waldo Emerson said
“Music takes us out of the actual and whispers to us dim secrets that startle our wonder as to who we are, and for what, whence, and whereto.”
Our aim at the SCO is to take our audiences out of the actual and to startle their wonder. We strive to provide you with an uplifting experience. If we have stirred emotion, provided a new perspective, revealed something new, given enjoyment, enriched your life to some small degree, then I am content that we have done our job.
So, I personally encourage you to come along to one and, I hope many, performances of the orchestra. Tell us what you think. Give us ideas for future programmes. We are here to serve the community in which we live. Please join with me and the orchestra to make it the best it can be.
And, above all else, enjoy and, I hope, be uplifted.
